This blog is our last one for 2022. As I thought of what I would write about, many different ideas came to mind. I started and stopped two other blogs before the inspiration for this one came to me when a prospect asked: “What makes Integras Intelligence different from your competitors?”
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked this question over the years. It’s a lot harder to respond than one might think. To answer the question properly, I’d have to know about every one of our competitors in depth; I wish I did, but, I don’t. With what I know, I could answer the question by talking about the obvious strengths of our organization, such as the quality of services, our team, training, customer service, technology, turnaround time, etc. But rather than doing that, I’d like to tell you about some things that are not quite as obvious.
Culture: Excellence
Our culture is the essence of who we are and how we work with clients. We have developed a culture of excellence in our company at all levels, which drives us to work every day on getting better and delivering world-class services. We share information and learn together. We encourage innovation and ideas. We believe in communication and transparency. We talk with our team members about their past, present, and future. We encourage them to connect with each other. We talk with our clients reactively and proactively. We celebrate the company and each other. We hold each other accountable but are also fair. We care about each other’s well-being and success.
Mindset: Always Learning and Improving
It’s very easy to get complacent in almost any job. The investigative business is no different. Movies and books make it seem as if investigations are all action, all the time. It’s not. There is a lot of repetition in many investigations, which makes it easy to fall into a pattern of always doing things the same way, unless something happens to change that. We guard against complacency and falling into a rut. We understand that things keep changing and we need to have a dynamic process to get the job done and continuously assess what we are doing. We look at things clinically and try to understand how it impacts us, our clients, and those whom we are investigating.
Attitude: Gratitude
We have worked hard for a long time to get to where we are today. As you have heard me say before, there have been a lot of ups and downs. Luckily, the positives have outweighed any negatives by far. Through it all, we know how fortunate we have been to have clients who entrust us with their needs. We don’t ever take this for granted. Every client matters.
Impact: Giving Back
As I mentioned in the last blog of 2021, we want to leverage our success to help others. In 2022, we have continued to do that through organizations such as the FBI Citizens Academy. We think, as a company and as individuals, that giving back is an integral part of the mission.
So, do these things make us different? I believe they do, but you’ll have to decide for yourself. I can tell you, all of the things I’ve mentioned have contributed to our success and will continue to do so.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us along the way. Have a great holiday season and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
